A Little History...

Lite Rock 92.1 began life in 1961 as WFNY, broadcasting a soft instrumental music format from studios on Taylor Avenue, in Racine, Wisconsin. In 1986, WFNY was sold and became WHKQ, with an adult contemporary format. The station moved to the co-owned studios of AM 1400 WRJN on Victory Avenue, in Racine. In 1988, WHKQ became Country 92. In 1991, another owner took over WHKQ and changed the format back to easy listening. Finally, in 1997, Bliss Communications, owners of eight radio stations in Wisconsin and numerous newspapers in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan, purchased the station, which was called EZ 92 WEZY, and adopted the popular "Soft & Easy Favorites" adult contemporary format. On January 2, 2007, WEZY changed it's brand to "Lite Rock 92.1" to better reflect the lite rock music of the format.

THE LITE ROCK 92.1 STEINHAFELS 17 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS PROMOTION.

Contest participants must be at least 18 years old.

Participants must listen to Lite Rock 92.1 each weekday between 3pm and 4pm. Mike Austin will prompt them to call the Lite Rock 92.1 studio at 262-635-9200. The correct caller will win the prize for that day.

Prize consists of one $100.00 Steinhafels gift card.

Prize is not transferable.If winner does not want prize no substitution or cash value is available.

Only one winner per family for the duration of the contest.

Contest winners must come to the Lite Rock 92.1 studios at 4201 Victory Avenue,Racine, Wisconsin, and present a valid ID to claim prize.

Winners and participants of promotion agree to the use of their voice, likeness and hometown for promotional purposes with no compensation.

Promotion runs December 1, 2008, to December 23, 2008.

Employees of Racine Broadcasting and their immediate families, competing media and promotion sponsors are not eligible to win.

Lite Rock 92.1 Domino's Free Lunch promotion

All entrants must be at least 18 years old.

Prize consists of pizza, sandwiches and soda for twenty people.

To enter contest participants must go to liteterock921.com, click on the entry point and email their name and home phone number, company name, company address and company phone number. Information may also be faxed to Lite Rock 92.1 at 262-634-6515.

Paul Kern will announce prize winner each Wednesday Morning at approximately 11:55.

It is the winners responsibility to contact Dominoes and set up delivery of lunch to their place of business. Delivery may not be possible for all winners depending on business location.

Don’s Stocking Promotion

All entrants must be at least 18 years old.

Prize package consists of 16 gifts plus a Jensen fireplace as mentioned on the air.

Each weekday, 5:30-9am, Don Rosen will announce the daily prize entered into Don’s Stocking. Listeners must keep track of all 16 prizes “in order” as they are entered into Don’s Stocking. On December 24, 2008, Don Rosen will ask listeners who know all 16 prizes in Don’s Stocking, “in order”, as they were entered to call in. One caller will be selected. If that caller knows all 16 prizes “in order” as they were entered into Don’s Stocking, they win them all plus the Jensen fireplace. Only one person can win.

It is the winner’s responsibility to pick up the prizes at the WEZY studios and Jensen Fireplace.
